Great read! Thanks for sharing.

Also we both have connections to slc and good taste in naming our children :)

Best wishes to the girls on their new adventures! And wow, what a cool piece. I never even thought about watching that show because I figured it was just another food competition, blah blah blah. But now you've made it sound so appealing!! Go ladies, get it!!

I love the strip club story- Sara Moulton once told me a story about a stage in France that Julia Child set up for her- apparently a time she spent mostly avoiding the vigorous advances of the chef. When she told Julia her reaction was - of course, what did you think would happen? (Story paraphrased by me)

I love this story! I think a lot of younger women forget (understandably so) that it was a short while ago that this was happening and from a cultural perspective, it's like what Julia said: of course this happens! So happy things are changing for the better for the women coming after us. Thanks for sharing that story!

I never thought about this but of course, it makes complete sense. Loved the story about the lap dance.

I knew there was a reason I liked TOC more than any of the other cooking competitions. Thanks for pointing it out! I know you are so excited for the older daughters -- looks like lovely adventures for both!
